Our wage and hour litigation attorneys have a thorough understanding of a complex and evolving legal landscape, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and many state statutes regulating wage and hour issues create a complex set of requirements that can result in significant liability to employers—whether the lawsuit is single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, or class-action.
Types of wage and hour claims vary. We handle claims alleging misclassification of workers’ exempt status, overtime pay violations, “off the clock” work, inaccurate time and payroll records, time clock rounding practices, and other wage and hour issues for many employers with nationwide or multi-state operations. Our wage and hour litigators also have experience representing clients in federal and state courts, before federal and state labor agencies, and during arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (“ADR”) procedures. We work to try and provide early and realistic assessments of liability and damages to help guide our clients throughout the litigation process.
