Professional Overview
Mr. Franklin assists private individuals and companies, and public entities with drafting, negotiating and enforcing design, engineering and construction agreements. Through the years, Mr. Franklin has advised on issues involving private homes, vacation properties, warehouses and manufacturing facilities, data centers, an Aker H-3 propulsion assisted semi-submersible oil rig, office buildings and towers, public schools and facilities, and public facilities including bridges and art museums.
In addition to advising clients on design and construction related matters, Mr. Franklin assists with commercial disputes involving breach of contract claims.
Prior to joining Schlemlein Fick & Franklin PLLC, Mr. Franklin practiced law at K&L Gates (f/k/a Preston Gates & Ellis) for 29 years, and prior to K&L Gates, Mr. Franklin was a King County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Criminal Division for five years where he spent two years working with the Sexual Assault Unit.
